To perform medical practices in Vietnam, Japanese doctors need to obtain a Certificate of Medical Practice.

To acquire this certificate, the following documents are required: 1) A copy of the professional degree, 2) A certificate of medical practice experience, 3) A certificate proving proficiency in Vietnamese (if Vietnamese is to be used during medical practices), 4) A criminal record certificate, and 5) A health examination report. Additionally, if opting to use an interpreter instead of item 3, it's necessary to have 6) a qualification certificate of the interpreter and 7) a labor contract of the interpreter with the medical institution they will be working for. Securing medical interpretation is considered crucial for the deployment of Japanese doctors in Vietnam.
