We are honored to announce that Professor Takao Itoi, Professor and Chief of the Department of Gastroenterology at Tokyo Medical University Hospital, has been appointed as our Medical Advisor. With this appointment, he will provide expert guidance to help ensure the smooth delivery of high-quality Japanese medical services in Vietnam, which is a key area of focus for our company.
Professor Itoi is a renowned expert in diseases of the pancreas, bile duct, and liver. He has served as a committee member for the development and revision of clinical guidelines for pancreatic cancer, acute pancreatitis, acute cholangitis, and cholecystitis. He is also highly experienced in chemotherapy for unresectable advanced pancreatic cancer.
His expertise is especially notable in endoscopic treatments. He has played a leading role in promoting minimally invasive endoscopic procedures as an alternative to traditional surgery—particularly for late complications of necrotizing pancreatitis, such as walled-off necrosis (WON). Professor Itoi is widely recognized not only in Japan but also internationally, frequently performing live demonstrations of procedures while lecturing abroad.
